A little about me…

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a very young age, I was fascinated by photographs and, perhaps more importantly, by the stories behind them. My grandfather was my first real inspiration. I would spend hours looking through his albums, completely captivated by the moments he had preserved. Every photograph seemed to have a story to tell, and that feeling has stayed with me ever since. Alongside photography, I’ve always had a huge passion for history, and particularly the story of the Titanic. I’ve always been fascinated by the romance, the people, the stories and the idea that, even in the most extraordinary circumstances, true love can exist.

Over time, those passions naturally came together and brought me to where I am today. For me, wedding photography isn’t simply about taking beautiful photographs. It’s about creating a little piece of history for you. Capturing the moments that will become part of your family story and preserving them so that, years from now, you can look back and remember exactly how it felt.

I’m naturally a calming influence, which I think is particularly important on a wedding day. There’s enough going on without your photographer adding to the chaos! I’m there not only to capture your day, but to help things run smoothly, keep you relaxed and quietly make sure I’m in the right place when those important moments happen.

Of course, I’ll be there for the big moments. But honestly, it’s often the moments you don’t see that mean the most to me. Grandparents having an emotional dance. The children playing on the lawn. A parent watching their daughter or son from across the room. The little glance between you and your partner when you think nobody is watching.

Those are the photographs I love.

Your wedding day will pass incredibly quickly, and there will inevitably be things you miss. I want my photographs to give you a chance to experience those moments for the first time.

My style is heavily influenced by history and cinematic storytelling. I want my images to feel timeless rather than simply fashionable, photographs that still have meaning decades from now and tell the story of two people, the people they love and the day they became part of each other’s history.

Away from the camera, I’m a Dad to three incredible boys, Tom, Chris and Max. They’re my inspiration, and I’d love nothing more than for one of them to eventually pick up a camera and follow in my footsteps.

Photography has given me a way of combining so many things I love: people, history, storytelling, romance and preserving memories.

If any of that resonates with you, then perhaps I could be the photographer for your wedding. I’d love to hear your story. Drop me a message through the contact form and we can arrange a discovery call, have a chat, answer any questions and, most importantly, get to know each other.

I can’t wait to hear from you.
